Grand Canyon Lodging - South Rim

If you plan on staying overnight during your visit to the Grand Canyon, there are several lodging and accommodation options both inside and outside the Grand Canyon National Park.

Lodging In The Park.

There are seven distinctively different lodging accommodations inside the Park at Grand Canyon Village including the El Tovar Hotel, Bright Angel Lodge, Kachina Lodge, Thunderbird Lodge, Maswik Lodge and Yavapai Lodge. RV camping is also available at Trailer Village about a half-mile from the rim. Full hookups are available for recreational vehicles up to 50 feet long. Phantom Ranch at the bottom of the canyon is available for overnight hikers.

Inside the Park lodging is administered by Xanterra Parks and Resorts. Reservations should be made well in advance, especially during the peak summer months.

Williams Arizona Hotels & Lodging.

Williams is a gateway to the Grand Canyon South Rim located less than 70 miles from the park entrance. Williams is a charming historic small town with an "old west" flavor surrounded by pine forests. It is also home to the Grand Canyon Railway and on the historic Arizona stretch of Route 66. Williams has a wide selection of hotels and charming bed and breakfast inns as well.

Flagstaff Arizona Hotels & Lodging.

Flagstaff is a popular "home base" for those visiting the Grand Canyon and Northern Arizona attractions. Flagstaff is mountain pine forest country and very scenic. It is located about 80 to 85 miles from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon depending upon the route selected. The population of Flagstaff is about 60,000 and features plenty of restaurants, attractions, night spots, hotels and bed and breakfasts.

Sedona Arizona Hotels & Lodging.

Sedona is the second most popular destination in Arizona behind the Grand Canyon. It is located about 28 miles south of Flagstaff through the scenic Oak Creek Canyon. The scenery here is incredible and has a wide selection of hotels and luxury resorts as well as a wide variety of bed and breakfast inns.
