Kinishba Ruins

The Kinishba Ruins site is located about 4 miles west of Fort Apache in Arizona's White Mountains area of Northeastern Arizona. The Ruins were once occupied by Zuni and Hopi ancestors until about 1400AD. The Ruins were partly reconstructed in the 1930s and in 1993 the site was placed on Congress's "Priority 1" list of threatened National Historic Landmarks. Visitors to Kinishba Ruins are required to enter at the White Mountain Cultural Center and Museum where admission to the museum includes access to the ruins. Interpretive guides are available. Casa Malpais

Casa Malpais is an ancient Puebloan site that was occupied for about 200 years before it was abandoned by the Mogollon People for mysterious reasons in about 1400AD. The ruins site is located in Springerville, Arizona in the White Mountains area overlooking the Little Colorado River. The site is a National Historic Landmark and is only accessible via guided tours that begin at the Casa Malpais Visitor Center. For schedules and other information, contact the following.

This Prehistoric pueblo was occupied by ancient native peoples about 100AD through 1400AD. The museum at the site features artifacts, exhibits. gift store, restaurant and RV parking. The Raven Ruins permits hands-on excavation and includes hiking paths where petroglyphs can be viewed. Raven Site is open May thru September and conducts tours.
