Upper Wolf Creek Group Campground
Directions. Upper Wolf Creek is primarily a group campground that can accommodate a maximum of 100 campers and 30 vehicles. The boulder-strewn, treed area sits an elevation of about 6,000 feet. There are several hiking trails from the campground. Facilities include a volleyball court and horseshoe pits with equipment available from the campground host. Campground fees apply. Lower Goldwater Lake, Upper Goldwater Lake and the Prescott Reservoir are within 2-3 miles. RV parking is available for recreational vehicles that do not exceed 40 feet in length. There are no utility hookups, drinking water, or trash collection at this site.

Season. March through November, weather permitting.
Facilities. Group site accommodates up to 100 campers with room for 30 vehicles. Site includes 8 tables, 1 fire ring, vault toilets and 1 barrier free suitable for handicapped access. Campground has a volleyball court and horseshoe pits.
Directions. From Prescott take the Senator Highway (Mt. Vernon Avenue) south for about 6 miles. You will pass the entrance to Goldwater Lake and the community of Groom Creek. The pavement will end about 500 feet before you reach Forest Road 97. Turn right onto FR 97 and travel for another 0.75 miles to the group campground on the right of the road. FR 97 is unpaved but is suitable for all vehicles during dry road conditions. Driving time is about 10 minutes.
Alternate Route. Take U.S. Highway 89 (White Spar Road) south for about 6 miles to Forest Road 97. Turn left on FR 97 and go for another 5.5 miles to the campground.
