Alpine, Arizona has a cool mountain climate shaped by its elevation of approximately 8,000 feet in the Arizona White Mountains. Average temperatures are several degrees cooler than many nearby communities, with pleasant summer afternoons, chilly nights, cold winters, and regular snowfall.

The monthly weather chart below provides approximate average high and low temperatures for Alpine throughout the year. Actual conditions can vary because elevations across Alpine and the surrounding White Mountains range from about 8,000 to more than 9,000 feet.

Summer high temperatures generally reach the mid-70s, while nighttime lows frequently fall into the 40s. Winter temperatures are much colder, and snow can affect travel, recreation, and access to surrounding forest areas.
