Christopher Creek RV Campground Near Payson

Christopher Creek Campground is located about 19 miles northeast of Payson, Arizona and just outside the small town of Christopher Creek. It is one of the more popular campgrounds in Arizona. Not only does Christopher Creek run through the campground, there are 3 swimming holes along the creek.

Christopher Creek Campground permits both RV Camping and Tent Camping. There are total of 43 campsites spread on both sides of the creek. The creek is stocked with Rainbow trout. Fishing is best from mid-April through July. The elevation at the campground is about 5,640 feet and sets below the Mogollon Rim.

Expect cool, refreshing temperatures. The scenery along the spring-fed creek is extraordinary. If you prefer lake fishing, Woods Canyon Lake and Willow Springs Lake on the Rim are only about a 10-minute scenic drive from Christopher Creek Campground.

RVs and Trailers. Limited to 30 feet maximum.
Reservations. None, first-come, first serve.
Amenities. Grills, picnic tables, toilets, campfire rings. Wood is available for sale from the host concessionaire.
